DNA SIG - Wednesday, 8 October 2014 at 10:00 p.m. in the large meeting room of the Broadmoor Branch Library, 1212 Captain Shreve Drive, Shreveport, LA. DNA Special Interest Group meets monthly and is a DNA workshop—The next meeting is Wednesday, 8 October 2014 and will meet the second Wednesday of each month there after. DNA Interest Groups meet to discuss the application of DNA testing to genealogy research. Genealogical research using DNA testing started in about the year 2000. In 2004, researchers began using the tests to solve genealogical problems, as well as searching for a possible match. DNA SIG is an informal meeting and is for anyone who has tested and for anyone who is considering testing. Many DNA questions are resolved by just talking in a small group setting or one on one basis.
